Long before these hills became a campground, they were healing ground for our family. Our journey began over thirty years ago in Florida, when we became foster parents and adopted our daughters Gloria (a Safe Haven baby) and Erika. That life-changing experience inspired our first campground in North Carolina, and now continues here in Kentucky’s rolling hills.
For twenty years, we’ve carefully stewarded this land – developing it piece by piece into the welcoming campground you see today. What we’ve learned across three states is simple: the best campgrounds aren’t about amenities, but about the communities they nurture.
To us, hospitality is love made visible. Those long campfire conversations under starry skies, the picnic tables where strangers become friends, the laughter echoing across the grounds – this is why we do what we do.
